Johnson County Parks and Recreation District invites the public to celebrate the magic of nature at their seventh annual Enchanted Fairytale Forest event on Saturday, May 5 at the Ernie Miller Nature Center. Visitors have the option of attending a two-hour session at 10 a.m. or at 1 p.m.
Attendees will discover the hidden world of both real and mythological creatures that live in the forest. The Green Fairy will lead visitors in designing a fairy house and wand, the Fairy Queen will share stories of magic and mischief and a fairy parade will feature live animals. Sweet treats will be served at the forest tea party. The event will be capped off with music and a trip through the wish tree.
This magical event is $6 per person, including adults ($8 nonresidents). Advanced reservations are required. Click here to register or to get more information. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held indoors.
Ernie Miller Park is a 116 acre park at 909 N. K-7 Highway in Olathe.
