Extra help with homework is available

The Johnson County Library offers a free valuable resource for students Monday – Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. … homework coaches!

Drop by the Central Resource Library at 9875 W 87th in Overland Park to get some extra academic attention. Homework coaches are available most weeks while school is in session.

Students can bring a specific homework assignment to work on. Coaches offer support with

  • Finding library resources to complete assignments like book reports and science projects
  • Vocabulary, spelling, reading and writing skills
  • Math
  • Social studies

All ages are welcomed, students in grades 2-8 are given priority. English language learners are welcomed. Students served on a first come, first served basis: busy times may require a wait.

Support for this program is generously provided by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the AMC Cares Charitable Grant Fund in cooperation with the Johnson County Library Foundation for supporting Homework Help.
