Office of the Medical Director

The Office of the Medical Director (OMD) is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the EMS System including patient care protocols, credentialing programs, performance improvement activities, and education. The OMD also provides medical oversight for the 911 Emergency Communications Center and local law enforcement and school Naloxone programs. 

The Office of the Medical Director also serves as a liaison to area hospital leadership, the medical community, as well as national, regional and local EMS organizations. The OMD contributes to EMS research and is a training site for the KUMC EMS Fellowship.
