Earth Day 2017: The True Cost

Join Johnson County Department of Health and Enviornment and the merchants of Downtown Overland Park for a FREE screening of The True Cost, a story about the clothes we wear, the people who make them and the impact the clothing industry has on the world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have continued to grow dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who is REALLY paying for the price of our clothing?

Ethical fashions will be modeled prior to the screening featuring fair trade fashions from Ten Thousand Villages Overland Park, upscale, re-sale clothing and accessories from Sacks On Santa Fe and styling by Hair Lovin'.
