Substance Use

The trained clinicians at Johnson County Mental Health provide evidence-based treatment such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care and positive behavioral supports for adolescents and adults experiencing problems related to substance use and mental health issues.

Clinicians use individualized interventions to build on strengths and motivate adolescents and adults to begin and maintain the recovery process.

Residential

Johnson County Mental Health Center offers residential services for both adolescents and adults.

For adolescents, the Adolescent Center for Treatment is a 11-bed residential facility for adolescents experiencing problems related to drugs or alcohol. The program is staffed 24 hours a day by licensed clinicians, case managers and direct care staff, providing teens with a safe, trauma informed environment to begin their recovery.

For adults, the Adult Detoxification Unit is a 14-bed unit that assists individuals safely through the process of withdrawing from alcohol or other drugs in a non-medical setting. ADU accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At ADU we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity for recovery.

Both residential facilities help adults and adolescents experiencing problems related to drugs or alcohol.

Outpatient

Johnson County Mental Health addresses the whole person during the course of treatment through the use of evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing and positive behavioral supports.
