Johnson County Records and Tax Administration, in cooperation with the Appraiser’s Office, Treasury and Financial Management and AIMS, is moving to new tax roll software.  As part of this process, we will convert tax roll data from the existing application to the new application.  This process will take about three to four weeks and will begin Aug. 1.  Please check this homepage for updates or changes to the schedule. During this time our web-sites will not display current property, valuation changes and tax payments made or collected during this time.  That information may be obtained by contacting the RTA Call Center by phone at 913-715-0775 or email to rtacallcenter@jocogov.org. The Johnson County Records & Tax Administration (RTA) combines the duties of the Register of Deeds, County Clerk and Archives and Record Management. The RTA records and indexes all land record documents; creates, maintains and calculates the annual tax roll; and archives county records. RTA also provides parcel level mapping and updates the automated mapping system, providing a variety of maps for purchase.


Based on KSA 28-115 the Department of Records and Tax Administration modified our fees beginning January 1st, 2017. Please see Fees page.
