Commercial Permitting

Johnson County Wastewater (JCW) owns and maintains over 2,325 miles of public sewers and treats over 18 billion gallons of wastewater each year.  Many commercial businesses connected to our system have the potential to discharge large quantities of wastewater or harmful substances that can inundate, damage, or block the public sewer system, resulting in sewer backups into homes, businesses, and the environment.  Our commercial permitting team reviews and inspects commercial building plans and plumbing in accordance with our regulations.  Our efforts help ensure the longevity and integrity of the public sewer system and the private sewer systems connected to it.
