Kansas Presidential Preference Primary Election Ballots are in the USPS mainstream

The Johnson County Election Office has transmitted approximately 6,000 advance ballots by mail for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election.

Voters who requested an advance ballot by mail or are on the permanent advance voting list due to illness or injury are likely to receive their ballot within five postal delivery days. If a ballot has not been received by March 8, please call the Johnson County Election Office at 913-715-6800.

Voters have multiple convenient options for returning their advance ballot:

  • Regular mail
  • Ballot drop boxes
  • Advance voting sites

Ballot drop boxes are open 24/7 and will close at 7 p.m. on Election Day, March 19, 2024. Additionally, 10 advance voting locations will open on March 9. Details regarding ballot drop box and advance voting locations and hours can be found online at jocoelection.org/advance-voting.

In accordance with United States Postal Service guidelines, voters are strongly encouraged to mail their advance ballots no later than one week before Election Day. Please note that the Johnson County Election Office must receive advance ballots no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted, per state law.
