BOCC update

September 2019 at the BOCC

Here are some highlights of the Board of County Commissioners’ actions and activities in September 2019. More information including official minutes, votes and videos on all items is available at boccmeetings.jocogov.org.

The BOCC voted to authorize the following items:

The Board of County Commissioners formally adopts the SWMP after a required public hearing, and it is ultimately approved by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to become official. As required by Kansas law, the plan is reviewed annually to track the completion of and progress towards short- and long-term goals that are called out in the SWMP. More information is available here.
  • Approved a subsidized dust control pilot program for the unincorporated area of Johnson County for year 2020. Learn more about this program in this brochure.
  • Adopted Human Resource Policies 501 through 510 pertaining to employee benefits and authorized the adoption of related Human Resources Procedures effective January 1, 2020, and replacing current Johnson County Human Resources Policies and Procedure pertaining to employee benefits.
