After a short closure for much-needed improvements, the Cedar Roe branch of Johnson County Library will re-open to patrons on Dec. 30 at 9 a.m. Cedar Roe Library is located at 5120 Cedar St. in Roeland Park.
Improvements include roof repairs, including new roof drains and better installation, and new carpet in the main entrance and elevator areas. The closure also allowed staff to deep clean the entire branch. Library staff are looking forward to welcoming patrons back to the improved facility.
Representatives from Roeland Park City Council, the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners, and Johnson County Library were there on opening day to welcome visitors back to the renovated branch.
Please note that all Johnson County Library locations close early on December 31 and are closed on January 1. For 24-hour access to audiobooks, magazines, streaming video and more, please visit the eLibrary at jocolibrary.org/elibrary.
