Purpose: The County Manager’s Office seeks to: (1) enhance citizen knowledge of county operations and services (2) encourage a unified community identity and, (3) increase participation in Johnson County boards, advisory councils, and commissions.
Description: Johnson County residents recognize it is a great place to work, live and raise a family. The Johnson County Citizens Academy (CAP) allows community-minded individuals to discover what makes our high quality of life possible through behind the scene tours, hands-on activities, and conversations with county staff. Come visit with commissioners, explore the county budget, learn about civic engagement/volunteer opportunities and tour our various facilities! Upon completion, graduates will receive a certificate and get connected to the growing network of academy alumni.
Who May Apply: Applications are open to all Johnson County Residents.
How to Apply: The Citizens Academy online application remains available for completion on an on-going basis. Please click the APPLY for the Citizens Academy link to submit the online application.
Selection: All applications submitted before the deadline will be evaluated through the selection process.
