More than 60 JCDS staff and individuals served were in Topeka, Kansas on March 26 for InterHab's Advocacy Day 2019. InterHab is the state association in Kansas for service providers who support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Advocacy Day is an annual event in Topeka for people with IDD, their families, friends, providers, and advocates to come together and meet with legislators to discuss issues that are important to the IDD community. This year's event featured Governor Laura Kelly, and several individuals served by JCDS addressed the crowd. You can view more photos from this event on our Facebook page.
