As of Dec. 31, JCDHE is only vaccinating those in Phase 1A (highest risk): healthcare-associated workers, EMS and public health staff. People who live and work in nursing homes are receiving the vaccine via the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care (LTC) Program, not our office.
If you are a healthcare-associated worker and your employer has not provided a date for you to be vaccinated, please have someone from your office complete the online form to let JCDHE know your staff is interested in getting the COVID-19 vaccine: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JOCOCOVID. If you have already completed this form, no further action is needed. By completing the form, health care practices/organizations will be placed on a list and will be notified if the vaccine becomes available. Vaccine availability is not guaranteed.
Essential workers and people age 75 and older will be the next round eligible for the vaccine. We will move on to this group when Phase 1A is complete. Those who are in a lower-risk category will most likely get vaccinated in late spring/early summer. These timelines are subject to change and will depend on vaccine availability from the federal government.
We will post announcements on our website and social media as we move through the different groups eligible for the vaccine. There is no list for the general public to sign up to get the vaccine.
