Solutions for Seniors)
The Johnson County Area Agency on Aging
(in partnership with Hy-Vee grocery stores)
provides nutritious meals
seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
in the dining area of local Hy-Vee grocery stores.
Individuals age 60 or older (and their spouses) may enroll
and receive a CHAMPSS card to participate.
The suggested contribution is $3.50 per meal.

Senior Neighborhood Centers:
The Johnson County Area Agency on Aging provides
nutritious meals served at 11:30 a.m. and
friendship, recreation, education, fitness,
and socialization opportunities at six senior centers
to individuals age 60 or older (and their spouses),
Monday through Friday (except holidays).
The suggested contribution is $3.00.
Call the center of your choice by 11:00 a.m.,
one day in advance, to make a reservation.

Harvesters’ services for seniors include
Senior Mobile Food Pantries, Senior Food Commodities (CSFP),
and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
application assistance. Federal nutrition assistance programs,
such as SNAP, are Harvesters’ partners in feeding the hungry.
Harvesters' SNAP Outreach Team helps individuals
determine if they are eligible for SNAP benefits and
assist with the completion & filing of the SNAP application.
