Johnson County Wastewater's Water Quality Laboratory was the second lab in the State of Kansas to achieve national certification under the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC).
The Water Quality Laboratory employs sampling strategies, NELAC-accrediated equipment, and techniques perfected over 35 years of continuous operation to accurately determine the chemical properties or constituents of waste and surface waters. We have nine (9) staff members with a total of 159 years of experience in our field.
The Water Quality Laboratory provides analytical and consulting services for:
- Johnson County Government
- Private citizens
- Other municipalities
- Engineering firms
- Environmental organizations
- State and federal agencies
