Johnson County Mental Health Department's Adult Detoxification Unit is a 14-bed unit that assists individuals safely through the process of withdraw from alcohol or other drugs in a non-medical setting. ADU accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At ADU we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity for recovery.

The Johnson County Critical Incident Stress Management Team, or JCCISMT, has been organized since 1987 to help support all emergency service personnel in Johnson County, Kansas through the effects of extreme events. Our main objective is to lessen the impact of an extreme event and accelerate the return of personnel to routine functioning. The team members are highly trained and dedicated emergency service peers and mental health professionals. They seek to understand the unique personalities of emergency personnel and the duties they perform.

Services provided to those who live in Johnson County regardless of age or county responsibility, and includes children who are attending Kansas School for the Deaf in the residential setting.

Nurse-Family Partnership is a FREE nurse-led home visitation program, offered by the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment. First-time mothers are paired with a nurse home visitor. The mother-to-be and her nurse meet regularly through her pregnancy, the birth of her newborn and until the child turns two. The nurse home visitor provides support, encouragement and guidance.
