A special event to dedicate a time capsule that celebrates and commemorates Johnson County Government.

The celebration coincides with the 167th anniversary of Johnson County Government (observed on Sept. 7).

The time capsule will reflect the years 2021-2024, which included the completion of a new courthouse, demolition of an old courthouse and redevelopment of the Johnson County Square.

The time capsule will be enclosed in its vault at the History Plaza later this fall after the completion of the Old Settlers celebration.
