Today marks the beginning of Phase 1 for Johnson County, as it follows the Governor's Ad Astra: A Plan to Reopen Kansas.
During Phase 1:
On Saturday, the Johnson County Government announced phased reopenings of buildings and services beginning today. Between May 11 and 18, the county will open buildings and front counters, starting with the County Administration Building in Olathe, Northeast Offices in Mission and the Olathe Motor Vehicle Office today. The Johnson County Treasury and Financial Management department reopens the tax collection office located at 111 S. Cherry St., Suite 1500, in Olathe, on May 11, in a limited capacity. The second installment of 2019 property taxes are due by May 11. Mail and online payments are encouraged, to observe physical distancing guidelines. Learn more about payment options.
On April 23, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners authorized the acceptance of partial payments for second half real estate and personal property taxes due on, or, before Monday, May 11.
