Johnson County Election Office adds 7th advance voting location

Beginning with the August 2019 primary, the Johnson County Election Office is adding a seventh advance voting location in the county to serve voters who live and work in Gardner, Edgerton and Spring Hill, as well as other locations in southwest Johnson County. The new advance voting location will be located at the New Century Fieldhouse, 551 New Century Parkway in Gardner.

“This addition is a big deal for the southwest part of our county,” said Johnson County Election Commissioner Ronnie Metsker. “Not only is the population growing, the workforce in the area will also benefit.”

This new location will be available for the 2019 August primary election and the 2019 November general election.

Other advance voting locations are:

  • Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park
  • Hilltop Conference Center, 7700 West 143rd St., Overland Park
  • Johnson County Election Office, 2101 East Kansas City Road, Olathe
  • Johnson County Northeast Offices, 6000 Lamar, Mission
  • Johnson County Sunset Drive Office Building, 11811 South Sunset Drive, Olathe
  • Monticello Trails Middle School, 6100 Monticello Road, Shawnee

The hours for the Johnson County Election Office in the 2019 primary are as follows:

  • July 29 – Aug. 2:     8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Aug. 3:                     9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 5:                     8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Hours of operation for the other six locations are:

  • July 29 – Aug. 2:      10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Aug. 3:                       9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 5:                       Closed

Make sure you are registered by next Tuesday to vote in the primary election on August 6.

  • July 30      Advance ballot application deadline
  • August 6   Primary election - polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
