Election Office

Ronnie Metsker
Election Commissioner

The Election Office staff members are proud and honored to serve as Johnson County's "Gatekeepers of Democracy." You are always welcome to visit our office at 2101 East Kansas City Road, Olathe, or to call us at 913-715-6800.

Our government rests on the foundation of citizens choosing the representatives who govern us. As mandated by the laws of Kansas, the Election Office administers all federal, state and local elections for over 370,000 registered voters in Johnson County.

The office manages voter registration, precinct boundaries, candidate filings, and campaign reports and conducts all elections for more than 2,300 elected positions in the County. Regularly scheduled elections include national, state, county and township contests in August and November of even-numbered years. City elections are held in the spring, with community college trustee, school, water and drainage district elections added in odd-numbered years in the spring. The Election Office also administers special elections in the county either by mail or polls.
