Johnson County Government is now taking applications for the spring 2024 session of JoCo Academy.

JoCo Academy, open to Johnson County residents and employees, is an opportunity to learn about your local government with other civic-minded individuals.

The spring 2024 JoCo Academy will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-9 p.m., with dinner included, starting March 5. The session will last 10 weeks, with a graduation on May 14.

Participants will meet with county staff and elected officials, explore the county budget, learn about civic engagement, volunteer opportunities and tour various county facilities.

Upon completion of at least eight of the 10 sessions, participants will receive a certificate. The deadline to register is Feb. 2, 2024. Learn more and apply for the spring session.
