Billing cycle changes for many Johnson County Wastewater customers

Wastewater Logo

You may have been contacted by your water purveyor, WaterOne, regarding a one-time adjustment that will shift the date that your water bill is issued by several days. Johnson County Wastewater is your sanitary sewer provider, and we bill you for sanitary sewer services based on the water usage data provided by WaterOne. Therefore, your wastewater billing cycle will be impacted by this adjustment.

How this will impact you:

You will be moved to a new billing cycle for your wastewater services to align with your new drinking water billing cycle. Depending on your exact location, your billing due date may shift to an earlier date or later date. You will not be paying more for services, and your rates are not increasing because of this adjustment. Simply, the timing of when you are paying is being altered.

If you have automatic payments:

If you are enrolled in automatic electronic check payments (ACH), please observe that the amount due and payment date has changed to reflect the new service dates in your billing cycle. If you need to make a change to your automatic payment, please contact JCW’s customer service team for assistance.

What you need to do now:

Nothing. Unless you need to adjust your automatic payment, there is nothing you need to do.
