Authorized publication of proposed budget for Johnson County Government

Authorized publication of the proposed maximum budget for Johnson County Government in the amount of $1,818,969,438 (roughly $1.370 billion in expenditures and $448.6 million in reserves) for fiscal year 2025. The board also officially notified the county clerk of the proposed intent to exceed the revenue neutral rate and set a public hearing on the proposed budget for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024 in the Board Chambers. Vote: Passed 5-2.

MOU granting tactical paramedics a special deputy commission

Authorized a Memorandum of Understanding with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office granting tactical paramedics a special deputy commission from the Sheriff's Office, exclusively applicable during tactical callouts and training. Vote: Passed 7-0.

Site access agreement, contract amendment for new fire station

Approved a site access agreement with Sunflower Redevelopment LLC and authorizing the Construction Manager at Risk Guaranteed Maximum Price contract amendment with McCown Gordon Construction, LLC for the new Sunflower Fire Station 13 in an amount of $14,014,710 for a total contract amount not to exceed $14,044,710, subject to the execution of the site access agreement. Vote: Passed 5-2.

Creation of ad-hoc committee on BOCC salaries
