Cedar Niles Park is the newest park to open in Johnson County Park and Recreation District. The paved trail is now completed. 

JCPRD's Cedar Niles property is located west of K-7, stretching from approximately 119th Street just past 135th Street. The property totals 957 acres and contains many natural assets, including streams, dramatic topography and diverse plant life. The master plan for Cedar Niles was first developed in 2008. The predominate public opinion was that the park should include mostly passive uses, with a strong interest in a variety of trails.

The Cedar Niles Park design concept was presented at the Feb. 20, 2019 regular board meeting.  The board moved to proceed with design and construction documents.
