The Johnson County Community Development division has moved to the County Administration Building, Suite 2000, 111 S. Cherry St. Olathe, KS 6661.

Previously located at the Sunset Building in Olathe, the relocation is part of a reorganization that was approved by the Board of County Commissioners in September 2020. The reorganization moved Community Development from Human Services to Planning.

The mission of the Johnson County Community Development division is to:

• secure federal, state and local funding for community development activities
• provide leadership in coordinating those activities, and
• ensure continued funding through accountable, efficient and effective use of these funds in serving low-to-moderate income residents in Johnson County.
