On Nov. 3-4, more than 4,000 area students will participate in Career Expo 2021. The event includes 37 high school and middle schools across the Kansas City region. This is the first year for the Public Service Career Expo to be held virtually. The event includes more than 50 presenters from a variety of public sector fields to introduce students to careers projected to be in high demand over the next 10 years.

Johnson County departments are part of this year's event, including:

• Johnson County Aging and Human Services
• Johnson County Department of Health and Environment
• Johnson County Mental Health Center 
• Johnson County Park and Recreation District
• Johnson County Park Police
• Johnson County Department of Emergency Services, including MED-ACT and Emergency Communications
