Johnson County Micro Transit service not accepting payment via mobile app starting May 15

Effective May 15, 2024, Johnson County RideKC Micro Transit payments will no longer be accepted through the mobile app. You may still book and cancel rides through the app.

All payments for micro transit service will be due upon pickup – to the driver. If you are paying in cash, you will need exact change. Drivers will be equipped to take credit cards in the vehicle. You will need a physical card available for transactions (drivers are not equipped with any Tap to Pay programs).

Please ensure your equipped to pay for your ride when you board the vehicle. Transit will not transport anyone who is unable to pay their exact full fare upon pickup.

Transit continue to allow current Johnson County Community College students and faculty to ride to and from four locations free. All other locations in the service area will be at full fare. Transit is working behind the scenes on some future discounts. You will be required to show a current school ID in the vehicle.

Approved locations for current JCCC students and faculty include:

  • The Main Campus (and the Main Campus Buildings): 12345 College Boulevard, Overland Park
  • Olathe Health Center (OHEC): 21201 W 152nd St., Olathe
  • West Park Center (WPK): 9780 W 87th St., Overland Park
  • Center of Grace: 520 S. Harrison, Olathe

Please note, Transit does not have agreements to offer discounts with any other schools and can’t accept other school ID cards as payment.
