March 2022 BOCC recap

Here are highlights of the Board of County Commissioners’ actions and activities in March 2022. More information, including official minutes, votes and videos on all items is available at boccmeetings.jocogov.org. The board took the following actions:

  • Authorized funding for additional security measures at the Administration Building in downtown Olathe.
  • Issued a message of support for Ukraine and announced that as of March 9, Johnson County is lighting up the Administration Building in downtown Olathe with blue and yellow lights. 
  • Authorized funding for the Treasury, Taxation & Vehicles office consolidation capital project.
  • Authorized the Chairman to execute the proposed “Real Estate Purchase Contract” in connection with the contemplated purchase of 19065 S. Lackman Road, Olathe, Kansas 66062 for future Johnson County use.
