Public health advisory lifted
In collaboration with Johnson County Wastewater, the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment has lifted the public health advisory put in place on June 5 for residents and businesses near 81st and Nieman Rd. in Lenexa, due to a 21-inch sanitary sewer line break that was damaged during heavy rain.
JCW posted signage in this area, monitored the location and conducted water quality tests on the creek to determine when this notice could be lifted. Water quality test results indicate, as of today, June 12, that bacteria levels have returned to normal.
