AAA offering virtual learning
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is partnering with local agencies to bring virtual educational programming to older adults. For the premiere class, the AAA partnered with Johnson County’s K-State Extension Office, and Master Food volunteers facilitated a virtual cooking class for older adults.

County receives federal grant for aging services
Federal grant funding of more than $1.6 million and a new staff position for the Johnson County Aging and Human Services Department were approved April by the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners by unanimous vote.

ACL's message to seniors: Age Your Way
Every May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) leads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month. In 2022, ACL will be focusing on aging in place – how older adults can plan to stay in their homes and live independently in their communities for as long as possible.
