Winter hours at county parks begin Nov. 1

Winter hours of 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. go into effect Nov. 1 for many Johnson County Park and Recreation District parks. The winter hours will stay in effect through Feb. 29.

TIP plans 2023 finale

“Seussical the Musical,” the final musical production of Theatre in the Park’s 2023 season, begins Dec. 8 at The Black Box Theatre located inside the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park.

Exhibit showcases Jewish holidays

A display of artifacts relating to Jewish fall and winter holidays is the Johnson County Museum’s holiday exhibit this year. The temporary exhibit, which opened Sept. 29 and will run through Jan. 6, is called “Jewish Holidays in the All-Electric House.”

The Lanesfield Historic Site, 18745 S. Dillie Road, Edgerton, will deck its halls during the holiday season so Johnson County residents of all ages may experience a traditional 1904, old-fashioned Christmas, and feature a Country Christmas from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.
