Road Maintenance

Road maintenance crews provide a variety of services throughout the year. Weather directly impacts what services crews are able to perform.

Public Works Projects

Potential vendors must register (free of charge) and indicate commodities of interest to receive and respond to formal solicitations electronically.

Stormwater Quality Treatment

Unincorporated Johnson County has adopted regulations that require development projects that disturb more than one acre to treat stormwater for pollutants before releasing it into storm drain system and eventually into our streams and rivers.

Ponds

All pond construction activities must comply with county erosion and sediment control regulations. A county Land Disturbance permit may be required depending upon the amount of land disturbed.

Erosion and Sediment Control

Engaging in land disturbing activities, in the unincorporated area of Johnson County, KS, requires a land disturbance permit and implementation of erosion and sediment control measures.

Mailboxes

No mailbox or newspaper delivery box, hereinafter referred to as mailbox, will be allowed to exist on County right of way if it interferes with the safety of the traveling public or the function, maintenance or operation of the road system.
