The Johnson County Sheriff's Office Criminalistics Laboratory is accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, an internationally accepted standard for testing and calibration laboratories.

Crime Lab Now & Then

Our state-of-the-art laboratory is located adjacent to the County Communication Center and Medical Examiner’s Office on the Johnson County Sunset Campus in Olathe, Kansas. The 62,500-square-foot facility brings nine distinct laboratory spaces.

Crime Lab History

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office Criminalistics Laboratory dates back to 1974 and was housed within the county's Northeast Office building in Mission, Kansas.
