As Johnson County residents, we recognize our county as a great place to live, work and raise a family. JoCo Academy allows community-minded individuals to discover what makes our high quality of life possible through behind the scene tours, hands-on activities, and conversations with county elected officials and staff.

Come visit with commissioners, explore the county budget, learn about civic engagement/volunteer opportunities, and tour various county facilities! Upon completion of at least eight of the 10 sessions, participants will receive a certificate.

How to Apply

JoCo Academy is open to all Johnson County residents and employees.

The Spring 2024 JoCo Academy will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-9 p.m., with dinner included, starting March 5. The session will last 10 weeks, with a graduation on May 14.

The application for the Spring 2024 session is closed. Applicants for this session will be selected and contacted by Feb. 16.
