For Attorneys
Attorneys are required to register annually on or before January 16 with the Clerk of the District Court and pay a $100 registration fee pursuant to K.S.A. 20-3126. This fee has been approved by the Trustees of the Johnson County Law Library. To register email DCC-AttorneyRegistration@jocogov.org for further instructions.
Online Payment Option
Attorneys have the option to pay their law library dues online. Dues paid through the Alacriti system are tied to the individual registrant and cannot be paid in bulk. If attorneys pay via Alacriti, the updated information that is provided will serve as the registration form. The auto-filled information is generated from the preferred mailing address listed with the Kansas Supreme Court.
The listed address and contact information that you provide are what will be entered into JIMS for e-filing purposes and used for all court correspondence.
If your home address/phone number is listed on the form, please make sure that you update it to your work address if you do not want your e-filing account tied to your home. Any changes need to be listed in the memos section at the bottom of the form. You will receive a receipt at the email address you provide.
Refer to the payment instructions document if you have trouble logging in. Attorneys with a bar number beginning with a zero need only enter the last four digits to login.
Please do not use American Express (AMEX) to pay your fee. Our system is not setup to accept it.
Please keep in mind that if you use the Alacriti system your JIMS file may take up to 48 hours to update. JIMS updates are performed manually.
Attorneys are highly encouraged to keep their most current address on file with Law Library. Please include the attorney's Kansas Bar Number with all emailed address updates provided to DCC-AttorneyRegistration@jocogov.org.
