Westlaw Follow these instructions for 20 hours/45 days (whichever comes first) of access to Westlaw:  https://legal.thomsonreuters.com/en/forms/try-westlaw

See details below:

Lexis -Following this link will allow patrons to register themselves for online research access and receive their own temporary ID providing them immediate access to research services. An ID creation document is attached in the event that your patrons have questions regarding the ID creation process.

IDs created using this link will have access to Lexis Advance for 30 days or until July 31st (whichever is shorter).

Your legal professional and public community patrons will be afforded access to Lexis Advance® to conduct research on the cases, codes, and secondary resources needed for their legal work and personal legal research.

Westlaw is pleased to offer 20 hour Patron Access passwords that will be good through June 30th   or whichever comes first.  Content includes Westlaw Edge, Secondary Sources, and Litigation content.  Hopefully this will ease your workload of ordering passwords and provide your patrons with the resources they need.

The below link provides access – you can post this on your website or send directly to Patrons. Patrons will be asked to register per the directions for the process attached.  Note: the registration page says that trials are good for only 7 days, however, you can ignore that as it does not apply to this program.  Please advise your patrons to follow the instructions EXACTLY!

Please note – if the email used to create the new Patron password has been linked to a TR subscription in the past, it will not work as it will assume it is a duplicate.  For many of your patrons, this shouldn’t be an issue; however, for those who have had Westlaw in the past, they should use a new email; one that is not associated with a Westlaw Subscription, such as a personal e-mail like one on a gmail or yahoo account.
