Arthritis causes disability of Americans of all ages

Arthritis is a disease that impacts nearly 60 million Americans, making it the number one cause of disability in the country. That means one in every four adults, 300,000 children and countless families are affected by arthritis.

Aging Lunch-n-Learn Series

Older Americans Month was celebrated during the month of May 2023. It is a time to honor our older Americans for their hard work within the community and devotion to family.

AHS is available for presentations

To increase awareness in the community about services and programs offered by the Johnson County Department of Aging and Human Services, staff are available to present information on-site or virtually to community groups of all sizes.

Special Delivery program needs volunteers

The Johnson County Department of Aging and Human Services has a new volunteer opportunity called Special Delivery
to support both the Area Agency on Aging and food pantries.
