Age alone does not tell you who should or should not drive. But some age-related health conditions do affect driving. When health conditions affect your driving, consider adjusting your driving, taking a driver safety course or letting others help out with transportation.

Since 2008, the CHAMPSS (Choosing Healthy Appetizing Meal Plan Solutions for Seniors) program has offered dining opportunities for adults 60 years and older. Through CHAMPSS, participants can enjoy a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner at their convenience from participating locations.

Eligibility and Options Specialists (EOS) at Johnson County’s Area Agency on Aging/Aging and Disability Resource Center provide information, education and support to older adults and persons with disabilities who seek assistance in making self-determined, informed choices about their short and long-term care needs.

Johnson County Aging & Human Services Department operates the Catch-a-Ride program; a social service program providing volunteer transportation to essential destinations.
