The Best Times wins nine NAMPA awards

The National Association of North American Mature Publishers Association (NAMPA) recently announced its top awards for publishing excellence at its 2021 National Convention in San Diego.
The Best Times received seven first-place and two second-place awards. The magazine competed in the division of publications with a circulation from 50,001 to 100,000.
NAMPA publications were independently judged by the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism.
First-place awards included editorial/opinion, topical issue, front page cover photo, best use of color , overall design, best color ad and best banner.
Second-place awards were presented in general excellence and special section (voter’s guide with infographic).
Judge’s reviews included: “Bold design and a thoughtful mix of narratives and timely information are hallmarks of this publication. Dedication to its community can be seen throughout.”
NAMPA is a non-profit international association for publishers of local/regional aging adult and boomer publications. The association represents publish more than 95 publications in 26 states, the District of Columbia and Ontario with a combined circulation of more than 4 million in the United States and Canada.
