Community Resource Fairs

Community Resource Fair

Join the Department of Corrections for free resources and supportive services!

Corrections, in partnership with the Johnson County Library, hosts Community Resource Fair events on the second Tuesday of each month.

These events take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St., Overland Park, KS.

What can I expect at these events?

Community Resource Fairs are open to everyone in the community, including justice-involved individuals, and they help attendees reduce barriers and connect with resources available in our community. At these events, community agencies provide information on:

  • Obtaining identification and driving reinstatement status
  • Job readiness, certification and employment services
  • Connecting with a mentor
  • Career path through College of Trades or KC Scholars
  • Cognitive programs
  • On-site enrollment in treatment programs
  • Community service work referrals
  • Links to food, housing, transportation, medical and financial partners
  • …and much more
