Catch-a-Ride

Catch-a-Ride is a social service program that provides volunteer transportation to medical appointments and social service agencies within Johnson County.

SHICK/Medicare Insurance Counseling

SHICK (Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas) is a program offering older Kansans an opportunity to talk with trained community volunteers about Medicare and other health insurance programs.

Outreach Services

Outreach Services is a division within Johnson County Aging & Human Services that provides social services to vulnerable residents.

Nutrition Services

Nutrition Services provides hot noon meals at Neighborhood Centers and volunteer-delivered hot lunches to homebound older adults.

Neighborhood Centers

The Area Agency on Aging provides nutritious meals at Neighborhood Centers that offer a variety of activities and educational programs for older individuals in the community.

Home-Delivered Meals

The Area Agency on Aging provides home-delivered meals (Meals on Wheels) to homebound residents, ages 60 and older, and their spouses.

Legal Services

Older adults age 60 and older who are residents of Johnson County receive legal consultation and assistance with access to government benefits, powers of attorney, living wills, landlord tenant issues, etc.

The Johnson County Area Agency on Aging offers a single point of entry for services for older adults. Information specialists are your starting point for locating resources such as in-home services, congregate and home-delivered meals, transportation, legal assistance, insurance, housing and more.
