Johnson County government has developed an Aging Resources Guide to help residents navigate services and programs available in our community.

Deaf Services - Mental Health

Services provided to those who live in Johnson County regardless of age or county responsibility, and includes children who are attending Kansas School for the Deaf in the residential setting.  

Adult Detoxification Treatment

Johnson County Mental Health Department's Adult Detoxification Unit is a 14-bed unit that assists individuals safely through the process of withdraw from alcohol or other drugs in a non-medical setting. ADU accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At ADU we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity for recovery. 

Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Treatment

Johnson County Mental Health Department offers residential treatment for adolescents experiencing problems related to drugs or alcohol. The program is staffed 24 hours a day by licensed clinicians, case managers and direct care staff, providing teens with a safe, trauma informed environment to begin their recovery.
