Exercisers can go gold with Zumba classes
Exercisers are invited to join in on a fun way to get moving without feeling like it’s exercise!
Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s 50 Plus Program’s Zumba Gold classes offer a chance to dance like no one is watching! Zumba Gold puts low-and-high-intensity moves to Latin music.
The certified Zumba instructor, Angie, has been teaching Zumba and Zumba Gold since 2012 and tells her class, “no judgment and no pressure” and “where else can you exercise for 50 minutes and not look at the clock once because you are having such a good time?”
Angie guarantees participants will leave class with a smile on their face. She is passionate about helping older adults on their fitness journey.
Classes meet at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr. A new session begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, or at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7. Additional sessions are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, and at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11.
