A public bonfire bash, sponsored by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District, is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Meadowbrook Park, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village.

Participants will have hot dogs over the fire, chips and smores.

Cost is $12 for Johnson County residents, $13 for nonresidents. A discount is applied beginning with the third family member.
