Mike Kelly, chairman of the Johnson County Board of Commissioners, will present his 2024 State of County Address on Tuesday, April 9, at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd.

The public event, which is being co-sponsored by the Johnson County Public Policy Council, will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon with the program and the State of County Address to follow.

Tickets are available through local Chamber of Commerce offices.

A lifelong Johnson County resident, Kelly served as mayor of Roeland Park four years before being elected chairman in the November 2022 elections, assuming his ongoing county leadership role in January 2023.

He is the third at-large, publicly elected chairman in Johnson County history under the county’s Home Rule Charter approved in 2000.
