Trout stockings will take place Feb. 23 at Kill Creek Park (2:30 p.m.) with 1,600 pounds of fish and Shawnee Missing Park (3:45 p.m.) with 3,800 pounds of fish on the eve of opening the 2022 trout season.

After the fish are stocked, the lakes will be closed to all fishing until the siren start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, to begin the fishing season.
