Johnson County’s Olathe Motor Vehicle Office located at 782 N. Ridgeview Road will be closed to the public on Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2 after multiple staff have been impacted by COVID-19. All impacted staff have been advised to quarantine or isolate following the Johnson County Health Department’s guidelines.
Through contact tracing we have determined there is no reason to believe any customers were directly exposed to these individuals. Out of an abundance of caution, the facility has undergone deep cleaning and disinfection to protect the health and safety of the public and staff.
The Mission Motor Vehicle Office located at 6000 Lamar Avenue will remain open to the public with a limited capacity for customers in the queue. If you must visit the office, you should reserve a place in line at 7:30 a.m. by visiting jocogov.org/residents/vehicles. If you are unable to get in line, we recommend utilizing our online, drop-off, or mail-in services.
Call volume is also limited during this time, and calls may be dropped once we reach capacity. If that happens, please consider reviewing the Frequently Asked Questions at jocogov.org/residents/vehicles. If additional assistance is needed, please reach out by email to [email protected].
We understand the closing of an office and limited customer capacity can be frustrating. We appreciate your patience and thank you for your understanding.
