Classes help tech confidence
In today’s ever digital age, technology skills are essential, even for older adults, to stay connected, informed and entertained.
Johnson County Park and Recreation District’ s 50 Plus Program offers several types of classes with a patient instructor in a supportive learning environment for aging adults to embrace technology involving basic computer and smartphone usage at navigating the internet and using social media.
Classes often include hands-on practice, allowing participants to gain tech confidence and proficiency.
The benefits of technology classes can extend beyond just learning new skills, including connectivity with family and friends. Staying technologically savvy can also enhance cognitive function and provide access to a wealth of information and resources.
