S’mores and Stories, a new event by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s 50 Plus Program, features a magical night of storytelling, camaraderie, and of course, delicious s’mores by the fire.

The event for seasoned storytellers or eager listeners of all ages is scheduled at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at the fire ring, near Shelter No. 3, at Meadowbrook Park, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village.

Participants should bring their own chairs for an evening of enchanting tales, meeting new friends, creating memories and enjoying s’mores.

Admission is $12 for a Johnson County resident and $13 for nonresidents. Preregistration is required.
