As the festive season approaches, it’s time for family gatherings, delicious meals and sharing cherished traditions.

Generations-old recipes often take center stage, bringing loved ones together through favorite dishes and desserts. With this in mind, residents are invited to join a Fresh Flavor Recipe Swap offering an afternoon of fun, food and celebration. The event will take place from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at New Century Fieldhouse, 551 New Century Parkway, at New Century near Gardner.

All recipes will be compiled into a Fresh Flavors Cookbook as a special keepsake for attendees to take home and enjoy during future family gatherings.

Swap refreshments include freshly baked sausage rolls, a fruit platter and refreshments along with three rounds of bingo with winners receiving gift cards and festive-themed prizes. Board games will also be available for light-hearted fun.

Cost is $15 for Johnson County residents, $16 for non-residents. Please sign up online at jcprd.com/50plus to register.
